hey buddy, Till now we discussed the basics related to the ROS, and some exercises for getting started. Let’s start implementing our first and most important part of any mobile robot.That is Navigation.
In this series of tutorials we will work with
- odometry calculation (using multiple sensors)
- kinematics of the mobile base ( holonomic or non-holonomic)
- Lower level motor command execution
- Robot Model for visualization
- Path planning
- Obstacle Avoidance
If you are not much familiar with this terms described above then no problem we will be exploring them one by one with greater depths. You can follow this tutorial series as reference to make your own mobile base that works with ROS. I will share all the details and precautions require in the process.
